Financial Reporting Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Reporting Analyst to support the development, initial analysis, and communication of financial information across the organization. This role will be instrumental in enhancing reporting capabilities, delivering actionable insights, and supporting key financial processes including monthly close, budgeting, and executive reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, meaningful insights for non-financial stakeholders.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• – Develop, analyze, and report financial information to internal stakeholders
• – Design and maintain financial dashboards using Power BI
• – Create and run reports utilizing Solution7, Excel, Power BI, and NetSuite
• – Maintain and enhance Excel and Power BI reports as business needs evolve
• – Support month-end close by reviewing financial results and gathering commentary
• – Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance (flux) analysis
• – Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board of Directors financial packages
• – Contribute to the annual budgeting process, including data collection and analysis
• – Partner with Accounting to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
• – Produce and deliver weekly financial updates to executive leadership and stakeholders
• – Serve as a central resource for financial reporting, ensuring a “single source of truth”
• – Identify opportunities to improve and modernize financial reporting processes
• – Support ad hoc reporting requests and special projects as needed
• – Leverage emerging tools (including AI, where applicable) to enhance reporting efficiency and insights
• – Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

• – Bachelors of Science degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Business Administration
• – 1–3+ years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis or reporting
• – Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex modeling)
• – Experience with Power BI required
• – Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite and Solution7 is a plus
• – Strong mathematical and analytical skillset
• – Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences
• – Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• – Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• – Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement
• – Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• – Adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and concepts quickly
• – Experience or interest in AI tools and applications is a plus
• – Ability to work a hybrid schedule (1–2 days onsite per week)
• – Must reside in or be local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 Annually + Bonus Potential
